Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is intended to inform users about our practices regarding the collection, utilization, and disclosure of Personal Information when you use our mobile application BallShunt: Color Slot Match (hereinafter referred to as the "Service"). By choosing to use the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. The Personal Information we collect is solely used to provide, maintain, and enhance the Service. We will not use or share your information with any third party except as explicitly stated in this Privacy Policy. The terms used in this Privacy Policy have the same definitions as those in our Terms of Service, unless otherwise specified herein.
We may collect the following types of information to support the normal operation and optimization of the Service, with all data collection activities complying with relevant laws and regulations:
• Account Registration Information: When you log in to the Service for the first time using a third-party account (such as Apple ID or Facebook), we will obtain basic information associated with that account, including your registered email address, display name, and profile picture. This information is used solely to verify your identity, create your app account, and sync your in-app progress across multiple devices.
• Advertising Identifier (IDFA/GAID): We collect your device's Advertising Identifier (Identifier for Advertisers for iOS devices, or Android Advertising ID for Android devices, collectively referred to as "IDFA/GAID"). This identifier is used to collaborate with third-party ad service providers to implement anti-fraud measures, optimize ad delivery accuracy, and ensure that the ads displayed in the app align with your interests—without collecting any personally identifiable information tied to the identifier.
• Network and Device-Related Information:
○ Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address, which helps us identify the general geographic region of the network you use (without pinpointing your specific physical location) and prevent abnormal network access or malicious activities.
○ Basic device information, including the device model, operating system version, system language, screen resolution and display settings, device time zone, and timestamp of app launch and session duration. This data is used to adapt the Service to different device configurations, resolve system compatibility issues, and ensure stable operation across various platforms.
• In-App Activity and Log Information: We automatically collect log data generated during your use of the Service, such as records of in-app operations (e.g., color slot matching progress, level unlocking status, number of hints used), app crash reports, and error codes. This information enables us to monitor the Service's running status, quickly locate and fix technical bugs, and continuously optimize the user experience (e.g., adjusting puzzle difficulty based on user completion rates).
2. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is strictly used for the following purposes, and we will never use it for unstated or unrelated purposes without your prior consent:
• Providing and Maintaining the Service: We use your account information (e.g., email address) to confirm your identity, track your in-app progress (such as completed levels, accumulated scores) and reward records (if applicable, e.g., in-app virtual rewards for level clearance). If the Service includes payout-related functions (e.g., redeeming virtual rewards for actual benefits), we will use your linked payment account information to ensure that rewards are accurately sent to you. Additionally, we use your IDFA/GAID indirectly (as required by third-party ad providers) to display ads and push in-app tasks (e.g., ad-watching tasks for virtual rewards or exclusive color themes) that match your usage habits.
• Communicating Important Updates: We may use the email address associated with your account to contact you in specific scenarios, such as when you submit a request to delete your data (to confirm the request details and processing status) or when there are major changes to this Privacy Policy or the Service's Terms of Service (to notify you of the updates in a timely manner and ensure you understand potential impacts on your usage).
• Providing Customer Support: When you encounter issues while using the Service (e.g., app crashes, progress loss, problems with reward redemption) and contact our customer support team, we will use your email address to respond to your inquiries, follow up on the progress of problem resolution, and collect necessary information (such as error screenshots or device details you provide) to investigate and fix bugs or other technical issues efficiently.
3. How We Disclose Your Information
We attach great importance to the security of your Personal Information and will not disclose it to any third party except in the following legally compliant or necessary circumstances:
• Disclosure to Third-Party Ad Providers: As mentioned earlier, your IDFA/GAID may be shared with trusted third-party ad providers (e.g., Unity Ads, AdMob). This disclosure is solely to enable the providers to display appropriate ads in the app and track the effectiveness of ad delivery (without involving any personally identifiable information like your name or email). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may not use it for any purpose other than providing ad-related services for the Service.
• Disclosure in Corporate Restructuring Scenarios: In the event of a corporate merger, acquisition, asset sale, or bankruptcy liquidation, your Personal Information may be disclosed to the relevant successor entity as part of the company's assets. However, we will require the successor entity to comply with this Privacy Policy and continue to protect your information in accordance with the same security standards. We will notify you of such a transfer via in-app message or email if legally required.
• Disclosure as Required by Law: We may disclose your information if required by law, administrative order, or judicial decision (e.g., responding to a subpoena from a law enforcement agency or regulatory authority). In such cases, we will only disclose the minimum amount of information necessary to comply with the legal requirement and will notify you of the disclosure unless prohibited by law.
4. How We Protect Your Information
We adopt a combination of technical and administrative measures to protect the security of your Personal Information and prevent unauthorized access, use, or disclosure:
• Data Encryption: All Personal Information transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.3 protocol, ensuring that the data cannot be intercepted or tampered with during transmission. Additionally, we encrypt the Personal Information stored on our servers (i.e., "data at rest") using AES-256 encryption to further enhance security.
• Access Control: We implement strict technical and administrative access controls to limit access to your non-public Personal Information (e.g., email address, payment account information) to only those employees, contractors, or third-party service providers who need the information to perform their job responsibilities. These individuals are required to sign strict confidentiality agreements and will be held accountable for any unauthorized disclosure of information.
• Regular Security Audits and Updates: We regularly conduct security audits, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing of our servers, databases, and the Service itself to identify and fix potential security risks in a timely manner. We also update the app and server software regularly to address known security vulnerabilities and adapt to emerging threats. However, please note that no method of data transmission or storage over the Internet is 100% secure. We will make every commercially reasonable effort to protect your information, but we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your Personal Information only for the period necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law. Specific retention rules are as follows:
• General Retention Rule: Once we determine that your Personal Information is no longer needed for providing the Service (e.g., your account has been inactive for 12 consecutive months) or complying with legal obligations, we will delete or anonymize the information.
• Retention After Data Deletion Request: If you submit a request to delete your account and related data and the request is approved, most of your Personal Information (such as your name, email address, and profile picture) will be deleted immediately and will no longer be accessible. However, in order to prevent fraud (e.g., avoiding duplicate claims of new user rewards or payout abuse, as specified in our Terms of Service), we may retain certain non-identifiable information (such as your payment account identifier or device identifier) for a reasonable period (usually no more than 6 months) until we confirm that the information is no longer needed for anti-fraud purposes.
• Retention of Anonymized Data: After deleting your Personal Information, we may retain anonymized and aggregated data (e.g., statistical data on user level completion rates, device model distribution, or ad interaction trends) for the purpose of optimizing the Service. This anonymized data cannot be used to identify any individual user.
6. How to Request Data Deletion
If you wish to delete your account and all related Personal Information, you can choose one of the following methods to submit a deletion request:
• In-App Request: Open the "BallShunt: Color Slot Match" app, navigate to the "Settings" > "Account & Privacy" page, find the "Request Account Deletion" option, and follow the on-screen prompts to submit your request. You may need to verify your identity using your registered email address to ensure the security of the request.
• Email Request: Send an email to our support team at vuthikieutrang0406@icloud.com, with the subject line "BallShunt: Color Slot Match Account Deletion Request". Include your registered email address or account ID associated with your app account (to verify your identity) and a clear statement of your request to delete your account and related data. We will review your request within 7 business days and notify you of the processing result via email. Once your request is approved, your data will be deleted in accordance with the "Data Retention Period" rules outlined above.
Please note that once your account and data are deleted, all in-app progress, rewards, and account-related information will be permanently lost and cannot be recovered.
We want to inform you that when you use the Service, if an error or crash occurs in the app, we will collect certain data and information (through integrated third-party tools such as Firebase Crashlytics) from your device, which we refer to as "Log Data". This Log Data may include:
• Your device's IP address;
• Your device name, model, and operating system version;
• The configuration parameters of the app when the error occurred (e.g., the level you were playing, the app version number, ad service status);
• The time and date when the error occurred;
• Other statistical data related to the error (e.g., error codes, frequency of the error, steps leading to the crash).
The collection of Log Data is solely for the purpose of diagnosing the cause of app errors, fixing technical bugs, and improving the stability and performance of the Service. This data does not contain any personally identifiable information and will not be used for other purposes.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
• Cookies: Cookies are small text files containing a small amount of data, usually used as anonymous unique identifiers. They are sent by the websites or apps you use and stored on your device's internal memory. Our Service does not explicitly use Cookies to collect information. However, the third-party SDKs (such as ad SDKs or analytics tools) integrated in the app may use Cookies to collect data for optimizing their services (e.g., tracking ad views, analyzing user engagement). You can adjust your device or browser settings to accept or refuse Cookies. Please note that if you choose to refuse Cookies, some functions of the Service (especially ad-related functions or personalized recommendations) may not work properly.
• Contact List Access (with User Approval): For the purpose of fraud detection (e.g., preventing multiple accounts from being registered using the same device or contact information) and contact synchronization (if the Service includes a feature to invite friends via contacts), we may request access to your device's contact list. Only after you explicitly grant permission will we upload the contact list to our servers. We will not use the contact list for any purpose other than fraud detection or contact synchronization, and will delete the contact list immediately once the relevant purpose is achieved. We will never share your contact list with third parties without your additional consent.
9. Third-Party Service Providers
To ensure the smooth operation and continuous optimization of the Service, we may engage third-party companies or individuals to perform specific tasks on our behalf. These third-party service providers may have access to your Personal Information only to the extent necessary to complete the tasks assigned to them. We strictly require these third parties to comply with the following obligations:
• Use your Personal Information only for the specific purposes authorized by us;
• Implement appropriate security measures to protect your information (consistent with industry standards);
• Not disclose or transfer your information to any other third party without our prior written consent;
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding data protection.
Currently, the main third-party service providers we cooperate with include:
• Ad Service Providers: Which provide video ad display, ad anti-fraud, and ad performance analytics services (e.g., Unity Ads, AdMob). For more information about their privacy policies, please refer to their official websites.
• Crash Reporting and Analytics Tools: Third-party tools used to collect and analyze app crash data (e.g., Log Data) and user behavior metrics (e.g., feature usage frequency), helping us fix bugs and optimize the Service. These tools do not collect any personally identifiable information.
• Cloud Storage Providers: Which securely store your account data and in-app progress on our behalf, with strict data encryption and access control measures.
10. Links to Third-Party Sites
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or apps (e.g., links to the official website of an ad advertiser displayed in an ad, or social media sharing links). If you click on a third-party link, you will be redirected to the third party's platform. Please note that these third-party platforms are not operated or controlled by us. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you review the privacy policies and terms of service of these third-party platforms before using their services. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or security of any third-party sites or services. Your use of third-party platforms is at your own risk.
Our Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personally identifiable information from children under 13. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable laws governing children's privacy. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13 without the consent of a parent or legal guardian, we will immediately delete the information from our servers and terminate the child's access to the Service.
If you are a parent or legal guardian and become aware that your child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately at vuthikieutrang0406@icloud.com and provide relevant proof (e.g., your identification document, the child's date of birth) to verify your relationship. We will take prompt action to delete the child's data and provide you with a written confirmation of the deletion.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our data collection and use practices, or to comply with new laws and regulations. When we make changes, we will:
• Revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy;
• Post the updated Privacy Policy on the app's "Settings" > "Privacy Policy" page;
• For material changes (e.g., significant adjustments to the scope of data collection, changes to data disclosure rules, or modifications to user rights), notify you in advance through a prominent notice in the app (e.g., a pop-up window) or via email (if you have provided an email address) at least 7 days before the changes take effect.
The updated Privacy Policy will take effect immediately upon posting (or on the specified effective date for material changes). Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you must cease using the Service and request deletion of your account in accordance with Section 6.
